Quiet House

So quiet with no kids here. Not that I mind quiet. I enjoy having dibs on the remote control. It's just always what it means when they're not here that gets to me; yes, even after all this time. But it's really fine that they're gone. I should really use the time better, but I pretty much just eat what I want and watch TV when I'm alone. Tonight was In Plain Sight, some Daily Show and Colbert Report, Throwdown with Bobby Flay (pineapple upside down cake) and now Cougar Town while munching on potato salad, chips, toast, a fudgcicle and a granola bar. I was supposed to be on call tonight, but someone else wanted to do it, so I took tomorrow night instead. Think I'll head to bed now. I really enjoy my sleep...except when I have weird dreams which is pretty often. But thanks to my DreamBook app, I can interpret them and figure out just how crazy I am!

Dipping a toe in the water

Aw, what the heck...maybe it's time to start blogging again!

Here it is 8 p.m., and what have I accomplished today? Not sure! I got up around 5:30 and went for a walk. I love our neighborhood. I wish my house had sold when I had it on the market (for 8 months!!!) because there is a smaller house for sale that's been on the market since spring 2009 that I would consider buying so we could stay right here. Well, I guess technically, we ARE staying right here, but I wanted to stay here out of debt. Oh of these days the market will probably turn around and I'll get the house sold and will get to quit paying on the PAST! For now, just going to enjoy my home. Been here 10 years now, and I do love the house, though I do wonder about keeping it up. Need to replace carpeting, paint, have the HVAC cleaned, probably re-do the master bathroom, and lots of little things need done. sigh.

Worked the rest of the day. Had some fun projects to do. Love me some spreadsheets! But it was pretty quiet for the most part. I sure enjoy the people I get to spend the day with. There is always someone laughing somewhere! Seems like I've been working in this office "forever" now. One of the gang, I am.

Hannah's been here for a couple of days, but the kids are going back to Portland tomorrow. Hannah's been trying to find a summer job up there, but no luck so far. She goes back to NYC August 22nd, so it's getting to the point of no return on the job front. Good thing she got another great financial aid package! Cam is going to do an OMSI day camp in July.

Haven't taken a photo or scrapped since early March. Been too tired, stressed, involved in learning my new job to care. But, I don't want to let too much time pass without documenting some life stuff. Just gotta get my head around it again. It's certainly not a matter of not having the supplies! I am stocked up for life thanks to the Studio Girls.

So, let's see, what else is up? Cam and I went to see Toy Story 3. I totally cried. Andy giving his toys to the little girl was just TOO MUCH! We can't wait for Despicable Me. That looks like fun.

Okay, I'm just rambling. Cam has offered me a foot can I say no to that?
